The baby snails are getting so big, and eating so much. Their shells haven’t fully hardened yet, but the amount of cuttlebone, calcium powder and lettuce they eat daily is astounding. They also eat tomato, broccoli, carrots, and some cucumber. I’ve yet to be able to coax them to eat more protein. I’m trying. I have to feed them twice a day: that’s how much the are eating!
Meanwhile… well, the big snails struggle. Over the last 48 hours, a slightly promising turn appears to have taken place. The snails are eating. Mites are still visible, I intend to order more hypoaspis miles in 10 days. Maybe the issue is finally improving. With two dead snails now, I don’t want to get my hopes up.
But I still love keeping snails. So far it’s still more rewarding than not.
