Saint-Germain’s route may not be the best route, depending on your tastes, but you WILL shit bricks.
There’s a double warning for this post. In addition to the usual spoiler warning, PLEASE be aware that Saint-Germain’s route may be very triggering for some people. He’s a pretty yandere bachelor, so if you’re not super into reading about a chick who continues to eagerly pursue a guy who is actively (though incredibly politely) trying to slit her freaking throat, I’d… skip this one. Lol.
Honestly, I’m so used to the padded room that American media has become, with all of its content warnings and such (which even I included here) that the sudden twist taken by this route had me whisper-screaming “He can’t do that can he?!” at my Switch screen.
No matter how justified Saint-Germain’s motivations are, you probably cannot write a route like this in an American game and not get canceled on some level by it, since, after all, you end up romantically involved with the guy (and a trigger warning on such a route would massively affect the shock value it has, which is something I personally enjoy, and surely am not the only one.) Thank God for Japan, I can still get raw unfiltered fiction from there.
This post contains spoilers for Code: Realize ~Guardian Of Rebirth~ soโฆ donโt read it if you plan to play it!!

I’ve decided to include everything in one big massive post. I got two bad ends, because I choose not to struggle when he first tries to kill you. Whoops.
Saint-Germain always comes across as a little too nice, on any route you take, only really opening his squinty eyes once (when he kills Finis) and, even then, he doesn’t drop his demeanor of utter politeness. Pretty chilling.
I will say that I love the fact that you get somewhat scolded by different guys multiple times during this route. That always get bonus points from me. ๐๐ฆ
Lupin gets the most pissed off later on though, I’m looking forward to the true end with him. ๐
This one is funny because his eyes can’t possibly narrow MORE:
I got the first bad end very fast. I chose to go back to the old mansion because he seemed really sad about the possibility of me choosing to stay with me somehow. Wrong decision (but it saved my life.)
This of course would make sense very soon, when I went back to my save point and chose to stay with him. It also makes it clear even from then, that he doesn’t really want to kill you, and is looking for any way to get out of that duty until that point in time. But by the time I realized that was the plan, I was so shocked I’d forgotten everything else. ๐
Still, even as things progressed, both my heroine and I felt pretty sure there was going to be a hidden camera somewhere pretty soon.
It’s alright Saint-Germain, I know you’re going to say psych! any minute.
That entire little sequence, my GOD! I was just losing it. It was so messed up. But also kinda hot. But really messed up. Everything felt SO WRONG!
I didn’t screencap everything but sometime around this point I got my second bad end by choosing to believe there’s no way he’d kill me, right? Right?? Hahahahaha ah–he did it. Whoopsie. Back to my save point.
Oh yeah, let’s not forget this scene.
My heroine seems to have developed an intense case of Stockholm syndrome. Saint-Germain’s just rolling with it.
He does think you’re a crazy bitch, though:
This was one of the most chilling parts for me, and at this point I was legitimately unsure of what a “good end” could even entail:
He’s definitely a pretty boy though. When his eyes are open he’s a gorgeous character to look at.
Yes. Yes he is.
๐ฉ๐๐๐๐
Also, while he’s trying to kill you, he brings you tea and very fancy food. Ever the model host!
Eventually, I escape and run back to the guys. Bummer. Er, I mean, whew!
Don’t touch me, Victor, it’s not your route and you’re boring.
Everyone is mad at me though, for going off alone in the first place. I don’t mind that. Actually, this is my favorite if you haven’t caught on.
As mentioned prior, Lupin is the most pissed and goes on quite a tirade, which he does not do in similar situations in other routes, and is interesting when you consider that he seems more upset in general that you’ve chosen the Count as your love interest. Sorry Lupin, your route is still locked! ๐ญ๐
Impey knows what’s going on though, and, as in every route that isn’t his, he is so sad (but so supportive!):
It’s okay Impey… I still like you best…
I don’t quite remember, let me think back… oh right, he tried to murder me. Anyway this was funny because he asked me this after he knew that part.
One peculiar thing about this route is that, far more than in other routes, Lupin actually showed twinges of sadness or regret that I had fallen in love with someone else. I don’t remember him seeming to care in any other route. Until now, he simply showed support.
Those eyes. Baby! He looks so sad. That aside, what is wrong with you, Lupin? And what is wrong with me, ME?! This entire exchange is messed up:
For some reason, a long-haired Kakashi appeared.
J/k, it’s still Saint-Germain.
Stockholm syndrome continues:
I really loved this scene. Like the entire route, it was both touching and disturbing:
Later, Impey is still fighting for my happiness. Good old Impey.
In the train, there was another little bit where Lupin’s regret was evident. I’m so excited to play his route:
Having THE Eve of Adam and Eve fame as the antagonist in this route was a tad unexpected:
And, again, I seem to be getting scolded in this route, or close to. I’m not complaining. The heroine looks kinda weird in this art though.
But Saint-Germain himself is drawn exquisitely. Most characters in this game are.
It seems to be only the heroine that has an odd faraway look at times, sometimes in a cute way but sometimes not as much.
The epilogue to the good end was very sweet. Saint-Germain is a little possessive, but not in an asshat way like Van Helsing (nonetheless, Van Helsing > Saint-Germain in my eyes, though. I think. Maybe. Probably. I like assholes, okay?)
And with that, I just have one route left to unlock Lupin’s route and the true end:
Victor’s route is next. Yaaay… maybe he’ll surprise me… I’m not super excited but I gotta get it done to properly beat the game.
