With Code: Realize ~Guardian Of Rebirth~ sadly behind me, it’s time to play Giraffe And Annika, hopefully to completion, before I can get my hands on Code: Realize ~Future Blessings~. Today I played for barely a few minutes, but it looks like a delightful time.
It was a treat to finally get to open this gorgeous box:
As you can see, it comes with an artbook, three tiny patches, and a music CD. The music in the game already sounds wonderful so I’m happy about that. It’s a gorgeous collector’s edition.
The opening screen.
Annika is an adorable character. Sometimes she appears drawn, sometimes in 3D. She’s always very cute and a joy to play.
Oh, oh, guess what!! Drumroll please…
I GOT MY PRO CONTROLLER!! ๐ฅณ๐ฅณ๐ฅณ
Mwako bought it for me in exchange for two Telegram stickers, and since drawing him is hardly work, it’s so much fun, it was certainly worth the trade.
Just look how nicely it matches my case! ๐ญ๐โจ๐โจ๐
For playing games like Giraffe and Anikka, this controller is a delight. I’m very, very happy!
And that’s it for this post. I’ll have more to share tomorrow!
Hello everyone, hello!! Today is an awesome day! My friend Drake commissioned me for two artistic freedom pieces. With this, all my bills for the month, and even a few of upcoming months, are fully paid. ๐ญ And I’ll get to have so much fun working on that art!
I had been so, so stressed… and yet, in the end (always with a little help from my loved ones and supporters), somehow I always come out on top. ๐ Bills paid and presents all purchased. Today I was so utterly relieved, that I didn’t know what to do with myself all day. The relief was too intense to have much fun or do any work. I rested… restlessly.
At one point I went to the craft store to buy supplies for a little something special I wanted to do (mentioned later in this post.) On the way there, I took a photo of the pretty Christmas tree at Pines City Center:
I got most of the Christmas cards I needed, too. Nothing too fancy this year… Dollar Tree cards… but it’s better than nothing, and I’ll make them pretty with stickers. I’m still missing Christopher’s card. Nothing I saw was special enough for my special guy.
Here are the elven shenanings of the last few days. With this blog post I am all caught up with them. I hope to take photos every single day.
For starters, I found Buddy and Sarah trying to crush the cinnamon Altoids into powder (for easier snorting, Christopher said). It seems they didn’t succeed, which is just as well, considering that they tried to crush the can, too…
The next day, I found them riding my little horses. Maybe they managed to get some pep out of the Altoids after all?
The morning after that (meaning today) they managed to ride the horses up the stairs and into my studio. I found the horses quickly, but it took me a while to find Buddy and Sarah, who were hiding among my hug:
I can’t wait to see what they do tomorrow! ๐
Finally, here is the special thing I wanted to do today. I got a frame that I thought Grandpa Bob would have really liked, and an LED candle, and some of the candy that, on an ordinary year, I would have surprised him with during our holiday visits. This was the result:
I never really got to know Grandpa as he really was. When Christopher and I met, his sharp wit was beginning to fade. There was still a lot left and I had very interesting conversations with him then… but as the years went by and I felt closer to him, most of our interactions consisted of me sneaking him chocolates and him watching me draw.
Today, I had to go through photos of the last few years to find a good one for this frame. I wanted one from after I met him. It was harder than I expected, seeing the familiar rooms in which I will never sit with him again, and in which Grandma is now all alone. I really hope next year COVID is resolved quickly so we can visit Grandma often, distract her, spend time with her.
Anyway that’s all I’ve got for this post, but I may be able to get to one more before bed, and tomorrow hopefully catch up on my last remaining Code: Realize drafts.
