Code: Realize ~Guardian Of Rebirth~ [Extra Scenarios And Final Thoughts] ๐Ÿ’ญ

Most of the extra scenarios are fan service, so, for me, they’re super embarrassing to play. Lol. I mean, I already feel self-conscious about playing this sort of game. Playing little scenarios with no choices that are made exclusively to fan service the player feels way too… what’s the word… too much fun? Haha. I don’t know, I feel guilty and embarrassed by most of them. I like them too much.

Lupin’s Route ๐ŸŽฉ๐Ÿ’–

Boy, this is LATE! Sorry. I’ve been too busy with other things. I have so many otomes to play after I’m done with Giraffe and Annika, and I can’t start until I finish my last two Code: Realize posts. ๐Ÿ˜“ So it’s time to make myself finish these entries before my memory of my playthroughs just fades. ๐Ÿƒ

I really enjoyed Lupin’s route and the True End that came with it, even though he isn’t my favorite LI. As the heroine’s canon love interest, Lupin is very, very likeable, perhaps too much. When a character is that cocky, that charmingly arrogant, I need the relationship balanced by someone who will really push back, not be easily won over by them, and get on the arrogant character’s nerves, making them lose their cool. The heroine was not that –she was much spunkier (if clingy as heck) with Van. We had that relationship in the game, though, in a way –Lupin loses his s**t whenever Sholmes appears. I totally ship them. ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ‘Œ But as this was not the case with the heroine, I found him rather bland.

Environmental Learning Center And Beach Outing!

On Sunday morning, we went for an outing! It was nice and cool out, really a beautiful day. I regretted not bringing a toy friend for more entertaning pictures… ah well…

We went to the Environmental Learning Center in Vero Beach first. I got a whole bunch of photos. Maybe I’ll use a couple as commission references later. ๐Ÿค”

I got a little video as we walked along:

I saw a really cute statue of otters playing together:

And some wind-chimey, suncatcher-ish decorations:

There wasn’t much wildlife to be seen, but there was color and charm everywhere, all the same, if one bothered to look:

The water was tranquil and beautiful:

We went up a sort of observatory where we could see the whole place from up high:

This little nook is what is called a “blind”. From there we had to turn around to go back. It was a really nice, private little corner with a single seat:

I tried to take photos of Christopher but didn’t have much success. ๐Ÿ˜ž

All in all he put up with being made to suffer the outdoors pretty cheerfully, though. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Here is a better view of the lake:

Before leaving we went to explore the indoor facilities:

I really liked the manatee skeleton:

There was some marine life to be seen in the aquariums. We were allowed to touch the starfish, but I didn’t want to bother them.

There was a little extra area to be explored on the way back to the parking lot. I saw a bat house and a coffee plant, among other things:

Also, suddenly a friend in the path! We walked around him:

After that, we went to the nearby beach. The sea was loud, but it gave you a peaceful feeling. The weather was perfect.

I picked up some shells to take home, and we went back to have lunch. It was a wonderful visit.

Grandma’s Birthday And A Fun Night ๐ŸŽ‚

This past weekend we went to visit with my mom in law in Sebastian, but before heading there, we visited Grandma in Port St. Lucie. Her 80th birthday is next week, but we celebrated it during this visit. Just Christopher, his mom, me and Grandma. It was really nice and intimate. Between all of us we brought her two sets of flowers, gift cards, a ton of balloons, and a chocolate ganache cake:

Of course Grandma couldn’t really blow out the candles, but she pretended like the best of them:

For the most part we all had our masks on all the time:

…but not while we ate, though we kept our distance. Still, I wished we had gone to the porch to eat and stay even farther away. I just worry a lot for Grandma’s health. But we needed to give her a bit of normalcy and celebrating, because this was still of of many firsts –her first birthday without Grandpa, and such a momentous one, too.

Later that night at my mom in law’s house we played Ticket To Ride. I really love this game. I had the blue trains, and was going for a very long route. Christopher blocked me off, with his mean little green trains. ๐Ÿ˜  But I didn’t give up, did the route all over again underneath, and won the game! Eat my steam, sucker. ๐Ÿš‚๐Ÿ’จ

My mom in law’s cat Sissy kept trying to get attention and pets while we played. I took a ton of photos of her, but here’s just a couple:

Ok, I think that’s it for this post, too. Time to go to whatever is next on my drafts. Slowly catching up…

Working On Traditional Art! ๐ŸŽจ

Last Friday I worked on traditional art as much as possible, so I could color it during our weekend trip. I was able to finish two! Here are some photos of the process:

And here is the finished work! The first one is for Tugscarebear on FA of his character Grayson:

This one was for Kitsu!

These digitally colored sketches were kind of upgraded –the originals are actually pen and ink drawings that were carefully shaded and enhanced with different types of pencil. I normally keep my originals, but since I am trying to cover some debt, I am making the originals available for purchase to the commissions for an additional $50.00 plus shipping. The originals may lack markings or have minor imperfections, and any commissioner interested in purchasing an original will have the opportunity to review the original if interested in purchasing, to ensure these imperfections or missing markings aren’t a dealbreaker.

๐Ÿ„ Artwork is ยฉ 2022 by Marina Neira McKinzie. You may NOT copy, color, reference, repost or use this artwork in any way or claim it as your own. Only the commissioner/giveaway winner & those featured in the artwork may repost with credit and following my Terms of Use.

A Little Update ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒˆ

It’s been a while! I’ve had a few drafts sitting for some time… Last week I really just worked too much, and then had to pack for our Sebastian visit. A lot of stuff accumulated, so my updates will be a little disjointed and spread out among a bunch of posts of varying substance (this one doesn’t have much.) ๐Ÿ˜…

Here’s a colorful little snack I had the other day (I’m also officially out of extra coffee, so I’m sleeping properly again, haha):

As I mentioned offhandedly in a previous post, Tomoyo has asthma. We’ve purchased the device to give her the medicine (via inhalers, which have also been ordered and are in the way). In the meantime, I am trying my hardest to get her used to it by giving her treats with it, so she gets used to having it near her face:

Kotoko has been slowing down lately… we think she is feeling her age. She seems to grow more affectionate with every passing year,

This photo is from before I went shopping for groceries and for a present for Grandma’s birthday last week. It was my first time wearing that onesie by ODU. I like it a lot, it’s one of my new faves!

That’s it for this post, I’m moving on to my other drafts… hopefully fully catching up today!
