Environmental Learning Center And Beach Outing!

On Sunday morning, we went for an outing! It was nice and cool out, really a beautiful day. I regretted not bringing a toy friend for more entertaning pictures… ah well…

We went to the Environmental Learning Center in Vero Beach first. I got a whole bunch of photos. Maybe I’ll use a couple as commission references later. ๐Ÿค”

I got a little video as we walked along:

I saw a really cute statue of otters playing together:

And some wind-chimey, suncatcher-ish decorations:

There wasn’t much wildlife to be seen, but there was color and charm everywhere, all the same, if one bothered to look:

The water was tranquil and beautiful:

We went up a sort of observatory where we could see the whole place from up high:

This little nook is what is called a “blind”. From there we had to turn around to go back. It was a really nice, private little corner with a single seat:

I tried to take photos of Christopher but didn’t have much success. ๐Ÿ˜ž

All in all he put up with being made to suffer the outdoors pretty cheerfully, though. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Here is a better view of the lake:

Before leaving we went to explore the indoor facilities:

I really liked the manatee skeleton:

There was some marine life to be seen in the aquariums. We were allowed to touch the starfish, but I didn’t want to bother them.

There was a little extra area to be explored on the way back to the parking lot. I saw a bat house and a coffee plant, among other things:

Also, suddenly a friend in the path! We walked around him:

After that, we went to the nearby beach. The sea was loud, but it gave you a peaceful feeling. The weather was perfect.

I picked up some shells to take home, and we went back to have lunch. It was a wonderful visit.
