Happy Easter Week! ๐Ÿฃ๐ŸŒผ

Happy Easter, everyone! This was a very fun week, especially the weekend. I went kayaking, decorated for Easter, did some relaxing kiddy activities, got some new toys, and saw a sunflower field among other things! So I have lots to share. I hope you enjoy this post and that your Easter weekend was wonderful! ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿฃ

๐Ÿฃ Monday ๐Ÿฃ

Today I was a bit under the weather. My throat was bothering me (I tested negative for COVID). I spent a lot of the day in bed, sleeping lots, after a totally sleepless night due to coughing. Tomoyo kept me company and our partner got me lunch. By the evening I felt better.

Once I was feeling a bit better I took care of the snail tank. It was fun to watch them soaking and enjoying their fresh water bowl:

๐Ÿฃ Tuesday ๐Ÿฃ

Tuesday was a blah day. I got work done and I played video games, and I’ll share the gaming stuff on a separate post so I don’t have much to say about today.

At around 5:00pm Christopher called me on his way home from work and as I was laying there on the phone call I noticed a pink “soot” firmly stuck to my sweater, under my arm no less. I’m not sure when it got there. It was one of the ones on the stairs banister though.

๐Ÿฃ Wednesday ๐Ÿฃ

I walked to Target to get these guys today. The moment I saw them online I knew I had to have them. I’m a sucker for toys with plastic heads, and they are the perfect size to carry around with me! Plus I can decorate their carry bags with pins and patches! ๐ŸŒˆโœจ๐ŸŒŸ

I’m going to call them Jello (Rodian) Cookie (Wookie) and Dusty (Ewok). They come with really cute cards to write their name and personaly traits!

On my way back from Target I got another photo of the building demolition. The first building is all gone, and soon this one will be gone, too:

At one point both Christopher and Kotoko came to visit me in my studio while I worked on commissions. They are so cute together.

Today’s dinner was panko-crusted tilapia!

๐Ÿฃ Thursday ๐Ÿฃ

I completed the Easter decor today!

A blue “soot” appears to have reached the chandelier…

I hadn’t brought out all the bunnies in a couple of years, so it was nice to see them again:

One chore I wanted to get done before bedtime was the tank clean and food change, and I managed it. I also gave the snails a lot of calcium mush and they lost their minds over it as usual:

๐Ÿฃ Friday ๐Ÿฃ

This morning I got up VERY early (around 5:00am) because I wanted plenty of time to do all my chores, finish a commission and make some necklaces too. I made necklaces for almost all my toys that didn’t have them. Below you can see Toklo’s and Bluey’s!

After I was done with that, Jello helped me decorate my marker box:

It turned out pretty cute. I put Umaru-Chan, Bluey, Doraemon and Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid stickers on it:

By 3:00pm we were on the road. I felt pretty cute with my outfit on this day and having a brand new friend to bring along.

One of my favorite things that fill me with kiddy feels, on the rare occasions when there is a remote chance of a toy I’ll like, is to get a Happy Meal when leaving on a long car trip! And since they have the Sonic toys right now, I had one:

Both the burger and fries were GREAT. It was one of those rare times when you get really fresh and perfect ones. I let Jello have a bite:

I had a special treat after my Happy Meal, a Super Mario Wonder Ball! You can’t find these easily anymore.

When we got to my mom-in-law’s house, there was a wonderful dinner of nachos waiting for us. Then we had some drinks (I had a really fancy gin and lime tonic) and played Jenga and Yatzee!

I went to bed with Jello and Pokรฉmon Sword until the guys came and we had our usual anime time (still watching Tenchi Muyo).

It was a very pleasant end to our day. ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐Ÿฃ Saturday ๐Ÿฃ

I was both excited and apprehensive for this day. It would be my first time kayaking. I’m pretty clumsy, and I can’t swim. They had a life jacket for me and I would be riding tandem with our partner, but had a lot of worries about dragging him down by being dense and slow to learn.

The first step was to bring our kayaks down, close to the water.

Already, I was really impressed by the view, and got many pictures:

This photo of my two guys is one of my favorites that I got today as they were fooling around and joking together. It’s gonna go on my desk for sure.

Then it was time to set off!

As it turns out, I did really well once I got the hang of it. I was proud of that. I could paddle really fast, too!

These photos were taken right after we came out of the river all wobbly-legged. ๐Ÿ˜ต

Christopher and I had to sit and watch the kayaks. While we waited for everyone to come back, I played in the playground for a bit since it was empty:

Even Christopher got on the swings for a short while:

Once home, we showered, and really were too tired for anything other than lazing around on the couch, occasionally drinking and eating, which was very pleasant. My mom-in-law bought ingredients for us to make our own pizzas which was fun. Here’s mine.

The bacon was burnt, but that’s just how I like it! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฅ“

๐Ÿฃ Sunday ๐Ÿฃ

Today, of course, is Easter! Happy Easter, once again, to all. We had lunch at Grandma’s before finally heading home and relaxing. In the morning our partner walked with me to the sunflower field I’d seen near the entrance of my mom-in-law’s neighborhood. Sunflowers are my favorite flower, so I really wanted to take a picture of Jello next to them. Jello is very photogenic:

Aren’t they just so pretty? Sunflowers really make me happy.

After we got home and I unpacked all of our suitcases, took care of our pets and got everyone’s laundry going, I sat down for a snack and a couple of Easter treats. One was an egg I snuck from Grandma’s. It had an unexpected surprise inside!

Unfortunately it wasn’t… super edible… but it was very cute, don’t you think?

Anyway, tomorrow is a really exciting day for me. The first wave of Jurassic World: Dominion toys is officially released, and Christopher is allowing me to buy a whole bunch of them –but I can’t have any yet. Basically, I will be buying my own Christmas and birthday presents all in advance, and that is a-ok by me. I am so excited to go both to Target and Walmart and you can bet I will be at the Target door anywhere from a half hour to an hour prior to opening.

I’ll post photos of my haul before it is stored away, of course I can’t open anything but that will be fine. I’ll get excited all over again twice this year!

Hello, friend! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Say something nice! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒˆ I'm all ears.
