Chilling With My Mom Tonight!

Today I’m at my mom’s, until Wednesday night. It’s my first visit to my mom since starting my new diet and exercise regime so I have to admit, I was worried about this visit. My mom and I snack a lot, we drink a little alcohol too, usually, and I don’t exercise while I’m there. I could not let it happen this time. I’ve simply worked too hard for what I’ve accomplished.

So, I made sure to get my second walk in before leaving for my mom’s, though it ended up being slightly shorter and also a bit too late, enough to get me scolded for being out in the dark for almost an hour. Whoops. 😅

But I had fun on this walk. I went to the pet store and took some cute pet photos. First some ferrets…

The bunnies were the cutest though, by far.

I also photographed some of the fishies there:

On the way back, I came across a mother duck with her older brood of ducklings. They had all nested down for the night and I know I got too close. They were immediately on their guard and I felt guilty for having bothered them for my dumb photo. However, as I walked away, they settled down again.

Once at my mom’s, we talked for a bit and then she made dinner while I spent as much time as I could on the treadmill, about 30 minutes. In the end I didn’t exceed my calorie goal —by THREE calories! Lol… it was close.

My mom made milanesas. They were perfect!

Tomorrow I’m going to continue my exercise, even while I’m here. I’ll still going to be up at 6:20am just like other days, and go walk outside for an hour and a half. I forgot my coffee, so I’ll be getting breakfast at the gas station on the way back.

Something that has made me very happy is that my art continues to progress well, in spite of literally walking 3 hours a day. I suppose that was downtime for me anyway, in little bursts throughout the day. Instead, my mind now rests while I exercise. My vision gets to rest too. There are truly a lot of advantages to my new regime.

Butterfly World Visit 🦋

Went to Butterfly World today with my mom and husband! I wore Lolita, though pretty casually. Took Chantilly with me since she’s small:

As expected, I took a multitude of photos:

This flower always gives me a bit of a bad feeling because in Argentina we had huge bushes of it and they were always full of bumblebees which terrified me! 🐝

Took this one while waiting for Christopher and my mom to come out of the lorikeet area.

I liked looking at the butterflies up close. Their little heads tilt back and forth almost like a puppy being curious. I love critters of all kinds.

Butterfly World is one of my favorite places in the world and it’s changed little over the years which is wonderful. It is so well maintained.

Went out to lunch with my friend Jen today and the French place was closed. Our original plan was a tea place, which was also closed, making the French place a backup, so we went to an Argentinian bakery that was for some reason cash only on this particular day!! *cries* so in the end we did Metro Diner but it’s so good, I don’t mind it twice in a row!

Then we went to Walmart and I came home to several fun packages. It was an awesome afternoon. 💕💖🌈

Greetings, everyone! ☀️ I hope you had a great day! I’m back on some of my good habits —woke up early and showered, and I had a healthier, smaller breakfast compared to my usual debauchery (lol). Hopefully I can keep this up again and also resume my walks. I do really miss them but the heat has been simply unbearable.

Anyway, remember that all you have to do today is your best. That’s it! No one else’s metrics matter. Actual success doesn’t even matter. Do your best and even if you don’t succeed today, you won’t feel defeated. Remember your best can be different on different days too! So be kind and patient with yourself! 💕🌈✨

Later in the day I did in fact go on a walk. Chantilly came along!

And also, I’m just glittery trash. Seriously. I tried this on and put it back because it was like, I can’t. I’m 36, I can’t wear this… right? 😫

But it did look good. And it would look good with SO many of my shirts that actually look just terrible with my hoodies although I love those as well. So I caved.

After all, I may be able to get away with it now, but certainly won’t forever. But heck maybe when I’m older I just won’t care? Lol. It’s at Target if you’re interested, but you have to be petite to wear it. It only goes up to XL.

Later I gathered the nerve to lay down the biggest sticker I’ve ever had to put down on any surface. It was a XL Redbubble sticker by dragonsandbeasties:

I don’t know how, but there were no bubbles and it is sort of centered! Feeling pretty smug. 😌

Speaking of studio decor, here is the primary colored banner I got at Target for $3.

With all the Purikura, the banner itself looks like a digital decoration, doesn’t it? 😅

To wrap up this lovely day, I ordered Scruby’s for dinner and now I’m in freaking HEAVEN 😋 🍗

Finally On The Upswing! 🙌

Slowly, I am feeling better. I tried another pair of new socks today, I really like them! ‬✏️🧦

I made myself a kale salad today… I always end up eating these with my hand for some reason (as long as I’m alone) because it’s impossible to get it all with the fork.

I always have the first half with my fork, but have to get the rest with my fingers. I don’t know what it is about it but this particular mix of stuff is really hard to eat with an utensil.

Also, I stuck the rainbow eraser I got at Target to my monitor! 🌈 💕

I know I’m recovering, because I wanted to have a Doubleshot for the first time in like 3 days!! 😭💕🌈

Anyway that’s it for this gathering of odds-and-ends… I have a rat post coming up, though! 🐀

Megaplex Haul And Other New Things

I’m going to be sharing my Megaplex goodies now, as well as stuff that I received either on the days right before or while I was gone on my trip. So, this post is going to be all over the place. Apologies in advance for that!

Let’s start with my TamagotchiOn… it’s here!! 🥚✨

I may wait for the little custom case I ordered to arrive before I play with it though, so it doesn’t get scratched (besides, I have work to catch up on).

Also, my ODU package made it safe and sound!

I was really worried because Christopher said we had a massive storm. I pre-sign my deliveries so they’ll leave them at the door, and Christopher said it was literally submerged in water! Yet somehow still okay. Very relieved!

This is one of the things that I bought with the birthday monies from June, Yookey and Mwako:

It took some time to arrive but it’s MASSIVE and I’m so excited to read it!

Ok, now for actual Megaplex haul stuff. First, some of the things I got at the con store, plus the deck of cards we all got as a gift:

As you can see, I also got a lanyard, wristband, the glass (yes they made one) and a wonderful water bottle! My everyday one doesn’t fit in cup holders.

I definitely dropped most of my funds at my friend Kitty (Blankit)’s table!

Not pictured here, but shown earlier, is the handmade bag by Kitty that I proudly carried my stuff in all weekend.

It brings back fond memories of AC earlier this year, when Sammy was giving everyone wiggly worms.

This wasn’t a purchase, but rather, a wonderful present from my little pizzly bear friend, Snow:

I think the artist was PinkushikaArt on Instagram actually, but I can’t find it on their store? I can’t find anything else I bought from them either, though, so it has to be this.
