Playing this fandisc is obviously bittersweet. Itโs the last one, no more Code: Realize after this. A tremendous amount of love was poured into all of the artwork and CGs for this last game, and it is evident all around.

Hello, everyone! I hope you’re having a happy Thursday morning. I decided to let a few days accumulate into a single post, since, well, I haven’t had much interesting stuff to share recently.
Christopher and I have been spending more time together in the evenings, and it has been lovely. Elliot keeps us company. He always comes to the couch when Christopher gets home. Unlike our other cats, Elliot tends to spend his entire day out on the porch and doesn’t visit me much, but he always comes in when Christopher gets home. I think he misses him.
We began our evening by playing Mario Party Superstars:

After video games, we watched Lamb. It was really freaking weird. The weirdness is not a problem, it’s great, but I felt like it built up a lot for no real payoff. It just wasn’t very scary either.
On Tuesday, my copy of Cupid Parasite arrived! Still a while until I get to this one. I’ll be playing my next otome the weekend after this one –the final fandisc of Code: Realize.
We will be taking a trip to a place that will be all decked out for Christmas, so it’s a perfect time to finally play Wintertide Miracles, especially with such a long car ride.

In the evening we watched the latest Paranormal Activity movie. It was okay. I had a little snack:
Yesterday I went on my walk, and to shop for groceries. I caught a couple of shots of this pretty butterfly on the way:

When Christopher got home, I had the smell of coffee and banana nut bread in the air. ๐ It was my first time making it and it turned out decently good:

Afterwards I made panko-crusted tilapia for dinner. It was pretty good.
Anyway as you can see I don’t have much interesting stuff to tell even when putting a bunch of days together. Right now, I am busy working on Christmas art for family. After that, I will resume commissions. I am also really, REALLY pumped for our upcoming trip. I pretty much cannot think about anything else…

My last bit of birthday stuff (mostly Amazon gift card stuff) is arriving today and some arrived yesterday! I really ended up spoiled beyond belief… I will say that, considering that luxuries such as these are gonna go out of the window starting in August, Iโm so glad that I have so much stuff to have fun with for a long while.
First is this Bingo night light! Iโm going to enjoy looking at it every day on my desk while I work:

These things can be really hit or miss though. Sometimes I get a lot of “puzzle piece” type cards…
Next –more stickers!! Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid and Crayon Shin-Chan this time. ๐
Then there’s another book for scrapbooking art into my journal. I have one more of these coming later today.
I had a lot of these books on my wish list and was really glad to get at least one. Itโs absolutely fantastic! If youโre a writer I highly recommend it.
The way it works is, you look up an emotion, and for each emotion you get a wealth of expressions that you can use to express that particular state of mind. It’s just so cool.
Finally โthis wasnโt a birthday present. I preordered this AGES agoโฆ it finally came today. (*๏ฟฃโ๏ฟฃ) โจ
I really did buy a lot of crap before things went south recentlyโฆ ๐ and other than Grandmaโs check (which I saved) I pretty much spent all birthday money right away, tooโฆ I wanna make sure it is clear no donation money went to any of this junk. It was either purchased before or with gift cards/money given to myself with the caveat that it was to be used for birthday treats.
Also. I think you all know this, BUTโฆ my spending sprees often coincide with depression. ๐ You can often tell Iโm depressed even if Iโm seemingly super happy by how much s**t I buy in a given period of time, even if I seem super happy in my posts.
With that said, it definitely wonโt be possible going forward for a while, so Iโll have to find a different coping mechanism. ๐๐ฆ Thankfully, I have a lot to entertain myselfโฆ and the ISO Story Time Zoom meeting did me tremendous good too!
To be clear, no one has given me a hard time about this at allโฆ but I worry about perception, so I wanted to set that straight.
I think that’s all for this post. I’m working really hard. Things are still fairly stressful at home, but taking time every few days to relax doing wonders for my mental health. I hope you’re having a lovely weekend!

I promised a post with all of my recent otome swag! Well, really, it’s all Piofiore. ๐ I’ve started to collect otome stuff a little more in earnest, and my first big purchase was the Piofiore no Banshou -ricordo- Official Art Book! So… that GIF above was basically my face when I opened this the package containing this incredible book:
It arrived last week. I’d been waffling on getting this, begging Christopher for it, not sure if I should go for it… it was costly for something that I know would ultimately go on a shelf. But oh, my god. It’s such an utter gem. For starters, it is quite big, and the quality of the artwork is simply stunning. It contained literally every single graphic from the game, down to menu/interface elements, as well as some additional/promotional ones. Here’s just a small sample:
The one of Dante with a Nintendo Switch was one of my favorites, but this one of Yang with the twins absolutely took the cake, he looks so pissed, I love it:
I became deeply fond of the twins during my playthroughs, particularly of Lan. Despite basically taking the “annoying little sidekicks” role, they are both intelligent and good hearted in spite of the ruthlessness that they have taken upon as their way of being to survive in the mafia world that they joined as children. Both really do care deeply about Yang, clearly more than he cares for them, in particular Lan. I don’t know, they are just so wholesome in their own messed-up way, and such a great contrast to Yang.
In regards to that particular image, I find it a great example of how, far more than with any other LI, Yang’s facial expressions are subtle, but intense. I can’t get enough of looking at art featuring him. I really love him as a character in every possible way.
Speaking of Yang…
I’m posting my playthroughs in order so it will take a while until I get to my playthrough of his route, but for the first time in fifteen years, Sesshoumaru has a very serious rival for my “top husbando” spot, and I really didn’t think it was possible. Which, if you know Yang, is really really wrong. (Lol) Yang makes even early-chapters Sesshoumaru look kinda, well, soft.
For all his faults, Sesshoumaru isn’t an outright psychopath. Yang is. In fact, as a character, Yang is the perfect example of a psychopath, and I would be surprised if the writer/s of Piofiore didn’t carefully study psychopathic profiles when creating him.
So yeah, when I’m losing my crap at his trigger-fest of a route, I feel a little dirty. But let me have my guilty pleasures, dammit. ๐คค
To get back on track with this post, I’ve been buying Yang swag. First though, I would like to share this 2021 Piofiore calendar I got off Amazon:
I hadn’t bought any sort of calendar in a long time. But, I’m looking forward to looking at the boys throughout the year. Kotoko broke my lava lamp the other day, so I guess this will become its replacement.
I hadn’t seen the inside of this wonderful calendar anywhere! Also, it’s Episodio 1926 themed, so I got some CGs spoiled… ah well. Allow me to share some of the inside:
When it comes to just Yang things, first we have this little acrylic standee!

Sadly, none of the acrylic items are legit… they were just stuff I found on Aliexpress. (โก๏นโกโฟ) But I’m lucky to at least have these, and I did get one awesome legit item, which just thinking about the cost of it makes me queasy, so it’s probably the only legit Yang item I’ll be able to buy. A pouch!
My everyday bag has a Code: Realize ~Future Blessings~ all-over print, but my little pouch for my daily necessities doesn’t match that theme. So when I’m using this bag, I expect that I will use this pouch with it. True, I am tempted to just carefully display it, but especially given the cost I’d rather enjoy it to the fullest for years.
And now for the final thing! I used an Episodio 1926 CG to make it, which I ran into quite accidentally while looking for images of Yang. I had two CGs spoiled for me in this way (sigh). Anyway it’s a lovely CG so I made it my iPad Pro skin and wallpaper.
Anyway… yeah… pretty Yang is pretty… wasn’t braiding his hair every morning Lili’s job though? It seems she’s already slacking on that. Lol.
That’s all I have to share, and I suppose I will calm down for a while now. I can’t wait for Episodio 1926 to get localized!! ๐ซ PLEASE Aksys please…
Yesterday I received the Limited Edition of Code Realize: Wintertide Miracles!
Iโm super excited to play it, but believe it or not Iโm gonna wait until Christmas. Itโs a seasonal game and I feel Iโll enjoy it ever so much more.
I also discovered a new bike trail. It was very enjoyable and I plan to go on it again.
During my ride, I saw a mother duck with her ducklings…
I was even able to get a little video:
Something else that happened is, while I was heating my leftovers for lunch, I saw a very distressed earthworm doing jumps on the hot concrete of our screened-in porch. I carefully picked him up by moving him onto some damp paper and removed some of the hairs heโd gotten tangled in. Then I put him in a container with nutrient rich soil, some food scraps, and coffee grounds.
I think he was just so cute. You can see his little mouth at the end of this video:
Iโm not sure if heโs going to survive, honestly. But Iโll do my best to look after him. As of today, he’d buried himself deep in the soil. If he starts to do better, I’ll buy a bag of worm feed. I’ve named him Spaghetti.
Something else that came yesterday is a package from ODU! It’s the Pupcakes and Mac ‘n Cheese designs. I love them!
I’m wearing one today after I shower, but haven’t decided which just yet. Maybe Pupcakes.
I also have a GigaPets T. rex now. But, I’ve yet to play with it:

Most of the extra scenarios are fan service, so, for me, they’re super embarrassing to play. Lol. I mean, I already feel self-conscious about playing this sort of game. Playing little scenarios with no choices that are made exclusively to fan service the player feels way too… what’s the word… too much fun? Haha. I don’t know, I feel guilty and embarrassed by most of them. I like them too much.
